- It could be either. Tristan checks the motor and drive train first, then traces the control wiring and, if your rig has one, the Firefly touchscreen system, to find out exactly where the signal or power is getting lost.
- Can I manually retract my slide if it fails on the road?
- Many slide systems have a manual override, and Tristan can show you how to use it safely if your rig has one, but it's still worth getting the underlying problem diagnosed rather than relying on the manual method long term.
- Why is my slide-out leaning to one side?
- That's usually an alignment issue with the room tracking against its rails, or uneven wear on one side of the drive mechanism. It can be adjusted without necessarily replacing major parts.
